Meet The Designer

Our journey began in 2013 when I was studying fashion design in Italy. After moving to the UK and having my son Hugo in 2015, the impact air pollutants had on Hugo’s allergies became too unbearable to ignore. This inspired me to become part of the pollution solution.

I discovered that 22 million pieces of furniture are discarded each year in the UK alone. This fact coupled with my passion for interiors and design inspired me to create furniture for my home using sustainable materials.

 

In 2019, Sustainable & Salvaged was born in an effort to design contemporary furniture for others while lowering waste and preserving raw materials. I then enlisted the help of my cousin Henry, an expert carpenter with a passion for making old things new.

Our growing team prides itself in bringing new life to each product with a complete process that is sustainable, recyclable, and environmentally friendly.
